About me & what I do

Commitment to Reconciliation
I am a white settler who lives and works on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Nation.
As part of my personal and professional commitment to reconciliation, I prioritize working with and supporting First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people and organizations.
To help ensure accessibility, I offer a sliding scale for work that is intended to support Indigenous communities and improve the lives of Indigenous Peoples.
Of all the feedback I’ve received throughout my career, one piece of advice has stayed with me: “Be sure to hold onto your integrity. It is your greatest strength.” These words have guided—and continue to guide—both my purpose and my approach.
In 2025, I made the decision to work independently so I could focus fully on communications for good.
The core aim of my work is to build communication superpowers and lasting independence for organizations whose efforts are making a positive difference in people’s lives.
My Approach
About Me (She/Her)
I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and live my life authentically. While this path has not always been the easiest, it has shaped my empathy, strengthened my sense of purpose, and deepened my determination to make a meaningful difference.
I bring more than 25 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, with a primary focus on communications alongside hands-on work in policy, governance, and audience engagement.
I began my career in the mailroom—packaging, labeling, and mailing printed reports for the communications team—and worked my way into leadership roles. This intentional, ground-up journey has built the strategic insight and practical expertise I bring to projects of any size.
